Anglesey Family History Society (Gwynedd Family History Society) helps people who are searching for their Gwynedd ancestry.
The Society was established in 1980, their aims being to promote interest in genealogy and to make available transcriptions of parish registers and census returns.

Many branches are operated by the Society, which include those in Arfon, Dwyfor, Meirionnydd, Conwy, Ynys Mon/Anglesey and Bangor.

A full list of books held by the Society is available on their site. Two books can be borrowed by Society members at any one time, and can be kept for up to three months, the cost of the postage and packing being paid by the borrower. Books marked with asterisks (*) cannot be borrowed, and books marked with C are only kept for research purposes. An application form is accessible on their site.
Newsletter
A biannual newsletter titled ‘Gwreiddiau Gwynedd Roots’ is published by the Society in April and November. Members can submit articles to be published in Welsh or English. If the article is written in Welsh, a synopsis in English is added. Research interests of society members is also included in the journal.
