Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Family History Society

Cambridgeshire Family History Society was founded in 1976 and has over 1100 members all over the world. It merged with Huntingdonshire Family History Society in 2020, becoming known as Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Family History Society.

Their aims are to help family historians researching in the old County of Cambridgeshire and the Isle of Ely, to preserve existing records and to help transcribe and collate new information.

Fenland Family History Society

Fenland FHS was formed in 2001 to promote and encourage genealogical research, especially amongst people who have connections with Fenland. 

Fenland comprises parts of South Lincolnshire, West Norfolk and the former Isle of Ely. They also aim to encourage the preservation of archival materials.  The Society currently has approximately 150 members from all over the world.

Peterborough and District Family History Society

The Society was formed in 1980 to bring together those interested in Genealogical Studies and Heraldry.  It also promotes the preservation of materials and documents with emphasis on Peterborough but also covering parishes within a 15 mile radius. 

This area covers parts of the ‘old’ counties of Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, Northamptonshire, Rutland and Lincolnshire.
