Founded in 1994, the Montgomeryshire Genealogical Society (Cymdeithas Achyddol Maldwyn) aims to help people who are researching their genealogy, specifically in the area of Montgomeryshire, but also those who have connections with:
- Cardiganshire
- Denbighshire
- Merionethshire
- Radnorshire
- Shropshire
They offer this advice by offering access to their library, by transcribing census returns, memorial inscriptions and parish registers, and by publishing material with a specific interest for those researching their family history.
