Moray Burial Ground Research Group, based in Elgin, was established in 2003 and plans to survey every Burial Ground in the area, which includes the old county of Banff. Most of the Group’s research takes place in churchyards and cemeteries, although some research takes place in archival centres.
Moray is located in North-east Scotland, covering an area of 2237 square kilometres. According to the 2001 Census, it has a population of approximately 86940.
